Menu Design

July 25th, 2009

Me and my parents have been fortunate to be friends with a great guy, who also doubles as one of the best cooks I have ever been around.  He has made us some of the most mind blowingly delicious dishes!  I guess thats what you should expect from a person who has been inundated with french cuisine for his 16 year career, and cooked for many great restaurants.

Every now and then he invites a small group of people over to his place, where he prepares a multi-course meal that would make you believe in god.  I have had the fortune of going once before, and will soon be going to the second.  Becuse of his gracious hospitality in having us as dinner guests, I pleaded with him to let me know how I could help, or repay the favor at least in some small way.  Knowing of my graphics skillset he employed me to create the menu for the first, and soon to be second dinner.  Take a look at them below, I decided to change things up drastically for the second menu.  The first menu was very traditional fine cuisine’ish, and for the second I wanted to shake things up a bit and make it more EDGY.  Check it out!

Deadlift Graphic

June 30th, 2009

I designed this for possible use on a t-shirt in the future.  The deadlift is my favorite powerlifting movement, because of it I have gained a lot of strength.  I haven’t tried to lift more than 405lb, so I guess that is my max.  The graphic itself is illustrated in honor of this classic photo of Franco Columbo deadlifting, which always amazed me.  Enjoy!

New Photographs

May 22nd, 2009

These photographs are from Camelback Mountain in Arizona. The mountain was pretty busy on earth day and was swarming with these big lizard critters called Chuckwallas. The best capture I could attain is below!

Chuckwalla

Also the mountain itself is gorgeous. I thought the photo below really captured how awesome Arizona can be if you look in the right places.

Below are some older photos I now recently took the time to do the post work on. The sky shot is from the airplane as I first entered Tampa, Florida. The ones of the burnt stuff is from a destroyed house in the lower 9th quarter in New Orleans not too long after the whole storm. And lastly the wasp was captured by my cousin, and it was photographed in a jar.

I don’t know how I feel about it, but these guys do have a great podcast. Check it out, they are quoting me from an email I randomly decided to send thanking them for their podcast.
