Secrets of soup making, revealed!

Well, as you know the world is filled with 10,000,000 recipes on how to make soup. And to be quite honest, it’s a bit intimidating if a guy, lets call him “Stuart” has never made soup and wants to do so. Now, as I am famous for doing, I went soup shopping with absolutely no research to help. How did it turn out? Let’s find out in this step by step guide on how to make the perfect soup!

So, you are at the store, and if your not a completely sheltered human, there are probably lots of things you like to eat that you know what they look like in their rawest form.

Like, did you know that refried beans is made of… BEANS? Hey, I love refried beans, so lets get regular beans as our first ingredient! Good job, lets repeat that with other things we like!

Hey Stu, I like spaghetti and marinara sauce, does that make for good soup ingredients? By jove it does my friend! Lets think now, spaghetti and marinara sauce, what are the elements. Okay first off I want to shave off some poundage so lets just stick with marinara sauce for now. Well, for starters we got tomatoes, lets get tomato puree. Next we got some garlic, got it. And some seasoning, done and done.

Well, I repeated that thought some more and came up with this list of ingredients, whats the measurements you might ask, however much you think you can eat!

  1. chicken broth
  2. tomato sauce
  3. beans, fava and black
  4. chicken
  5. carrots
  6. onions
  7. garlic
  8. celery
  9. celery cabbage
  10. broccoli
  11. some other crap that I don’t remember

Ok, here is the tricky part. Chop it all up and put it in a pot and heat it for a little while. Voila, soup!!

I got to say, it was pretty damn good. Since I spent 26.95$ on a soup pot, I am obligated to make more soup. Now that I know the secrets of “The Perfect Soup” I will not be intimidated anymore!

As a side note, it’s more healthy than a salad, and a helluva lot more tasty ;)
